Youth killed in Jamia Nagar for allegedly objecting to kids playing on street

A youth was severely assaulted resulting to his death in Jami Nagar of Delhi over a petty fight of objecting to kids playing on the street. 

The victim was identified as Talib Khan (25), a resident of Jami Nagar. He worked at a paint shop owned by his father Babu Khan.

The police identified the accused as Mohd Irfan as the main accused who was arrested and two others from his family were arrested including a juvenile. 

The police said the incident took place on February 25 when Talib Khan was walking outside when he saw a group of boys playing gilli danda and scolded them. 

The kids called the elders from their home who allegedly assaulted Talib.

Talib was rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. 

The incident was captured in the video that went viral on social media prompting police to take action. 

The locals and neighbours of Talib however have complained to police that the accused have a criminal history and are local goons in the area. A few other neighbours also complained to police that Talib was killed by the accused as they grew their clout in the area due to alleged domination and threats. The locals complained that the accused often threaten many residents and shopkeepers for petty issues. 

The police have recovered the stick and iron spade used by the accused that was used to hit Talib. The police have booked the accused for assault, murder among other sections of the IPC.
