She and her husband Akash went to meet the couple to receive her pending salary on the day of thr incident. Sonia and Shweta, along with their husbands, sat to discuss the issue before they got into a heated argument.

When Sonam went to make tea, Akash stabbed her several times in the kitchen. When her husband tried to save her, he stabbed him and fled along with Sonam.

Sonia and her husband were rushed to BJRM hospital by neighbours, where she was declared dead on arrival by doctors. Praveen was shifted to Lok Nayak hospital where his condition is critical.

While the police were called to the spot by neighbours, the accused got into an accident while fleeing on their bike, hardly three kilometers from the Jains’ home.
