Woman police officer on official work from Darjeeling found dead in a guest house of Kolkata

The officer identified as Bindu Lama Subba had arrived with her team to Kolkata on official work

New Delhi, November 26

A woman police officer from Kalimpong, who was on official work was found lying unconscious inside a room of a guest house and later reported dead in Kolkata.

The police have identified her as Bindu Lama Subba from Darjeeling who had checked-in at a guest house in Kalighat area of Kolkata on November 24.

The police have so far registered a case of of unnatural death.

According to the police, the police had booked her a room to stay when she arrived in Kolkata with other police personnel from Kalimpong. She had apparently ordered breakfast. When the waiter took the food to her room, she was found lying unconscious. The hotel authorities raised an alarm and the police rushed her to a hospital where  she  was declared brought dead.

The police added that the doctor's will ascertain the cause of death after an autopsy.
