An undertrial prisoner was allegedly stabbed and killed inside Mandoli jail in Delhi.
The deceased identified as Mustakeem Chand was found injured inside his barrack in jail no. 13. The deceased was lodged in jail this year after being arrested in a case of house theft from Northeast Delhi’s Gokalpuri.
The incident took place on June 2 morning when two to three inmates stabbed Chand in his cell several times. The victim succumbed to his injuries in the evening.
He was first taken to the jail hospital and later referred to to GTB Hospital with a jail duty doctor around 7 pm on the same day and died later.
The primary probe shows that the attackers used improvised weapons to execute the crime. It has come to the fore that the deceased had also consumed an unknown substance which was found in the post mortem.
The police have begun an investigation by also analyzing the CCTV cameras and seemed to have identified the suspects.
The murder inside Mandoli Jail has taken place soon after dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was lodged here after being brought from Gujarat.
