UP Police arrest a constable posted in Moradabad for approving gangster Deepak Boxer's fake passport verification process

The constable Ajit Singh posted in Moradabad was handed over the task of passport verification in 2022 of Deepak Boxer recently arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell

The UP Police arrested a constable posted in Moradabad district in connection with the forgery of documents on the basis of which a passport was prepared for gangster Deepak Pahal, alias Deepak Boxer. 

Deepak Boxer was nabbed by the Delhi Police from Mexico’s Cancum city and brought to India on Monday.

The constable has been identified as Ajit Singh, who has been suspended who alongwith an aide committed the forgery for Boxer.

The Delhi Police Special Cell in their investigation had found out that one of the passports recovered from Pahal was in the name of one Ravi Antil with address shown as Gopalpur Natha Nagla village. Deepak was allegedly using the same passport for travelling. 

The police stated that the constable Ajit Singh in December 2022 had conducted passport verification. Ajit Singh had allegedly taken help of a tout cum lawyer who prepapred the forged documents. Ajit prepared the report on such papers without visiting the address or confirming the veracity of the documents. 

The police had booked Deepak Pahal under section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
