Two over speeding high end cars in Bengaluru and Hyderabad kills innocent victims, injure several

In Hyderabad, two persons were mowed down by a drunk man over speeding Porsche Cayenne car in upmarket Banjara Hills locality while a businessman in Bengaluru lost contro of his Mercedes and hit 7 persons killing one

Two cases of high end car road accidents- one was under influence of alcohol and another over speeding car were reported from Hyderabad and Bengaluru that has taken lives of innocent victims. 

In Hyderabad, two persons were mowed down by a speeding Porsche Cayenne car in Hyderabad’s upmarket Banjara Hills locality.

The deceased identified as Ayodhya Rai (26) and his colleague Debendra Kumar Das (29), both employees of a private hospital and natives of UP, were returning home after their shift when the accident occurred on Road No. 2, Banjara Hills. The police said the duo were trying to cross the road when they were hit.

The police have detained Rohith Goud (25), a businessman from Uppal, and his friend Suman. While Goud was driving the car, Suman was sitting beside him. 

The police added that Goud was driving under the influence of alcohol killing both the victims on the spot. Goud was sent to Osmania General Hospital for a blood alcohol test, the results of which turned out to be positive.

The accused have been booked under IPC section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and section 185 (driving by a drunken person) of the Motor Vehicles Act.

In Bengaluru, a speeding Mercedes Benz car mowed down a restaurant employee died and several people as it crashed at Indiranagar area of the city. 

The deceased has been identified as Hari Mahanth, who hailed from Assam and was a resident of Bhoopasandra. He had been working as a valet parking driver for the last 10 years.

The police said the accused was identified as Suvidh Chardio, a businessman and a resident of Defence Colony. He allegedly first hit a motorist named Anand Kumar S and after hitting the rider, the car went crashing more persons.  

He sped on and next hit an Alto where Mahanth, who was taking the car out from the parking lot, died due to the crash. After that, the Mercedes next crashed into a Swift and two auto rickshaws, leaving many injured. 

The police identified the injured as Mahesh (27), Vidhyashree (22), N Srinivas (26), Najeeb (38), Krishna (30) and Anand Kumar (36). 

The police stated that the accused was over speeding and lost control of the steering before committing a series of accidents at the spot. 

The Ulsoor police said that they have registered a case under IPC sections 279, 337 and 304 (a).
