The minor girls were lured by an accused to a hutment where they were found hours after their family was searching for them

New Delhi, February 3

Two minor girls were molested by a neighbour in Jhuggi Jhopdi (JJ) cluster in the area where the accused had invited a few for a birthday party.

The victims’ aunt filed a complaint with police mentioning that she along with her family went to her sister’s house to attend a birthday party.

After the birthday party, her sister’s daughters were not found at the party and upon enquiry, were found inside the jhuggi of the 25-year-old accused.

The police have registered a case under sections of the POCSO Act.

The police added that the statement of the girls would be recorded under section 164 CrPC statement.

The police have begun a thorough investigation in the case.
