Trainee SI of Rajasthan Police held for posessing unlicensed arms

SI Naina Kanwal was undergoing training with Rajasthan Police who was caught with two unlicensed arms from her residence in Rohtak by Delhi Police robing a kidnapping case

New Delhi, March 6

The Rajasthan Police suspended a woman trainee Sub Inspector of police after two unlicensed arms were found from her residence in Haryana by police.

The trainee SI was identified as Naina Kanwal who was undergoing traineeship in Rajasthan police..

The police stated that Kanwal was caught with two pistols when the Delhi Police raided SI Naina Kanwal's flat in Rohtak in search of Sumit Nandal, an accused who is absconding in a kidnapping case. 

The Delhi Police found two unlicensed pistols at Sub Inspector Naina Kanwal's flat during the raid. The police seized both the pistols and arrested Naina.

Additional Director General (Crime) of Rajasthan Police S Sengathir issued  a suspension order. the woman trainee SI has been booked under the Arms Act.

Naina is a wrestler who was inducted in the police force on the sports quota in 2022. She is a seven times winner of Haryana Kesari title. She has won many titles in international wrestling championships.
