Three men thrash medical officer at Faridabad government hospital

The accused who visited the hospital to meet their injured friends had got into fisticuffs with the medical officer leaving him with injuries

The Faridabad Police arrested three persons after they allegedly thrashed a doctor on duty in the emergency ward at the Civil Hospital in Faridabad reportedly after an argument over treatment.

The incident was recorded in the CCTV camera. In a purported video of the incident, the accused can be seen slapping and punching the victim.

The police identified the thrashers as Vineet Kumar, Akshay and Sachin who allegedly thrashed the medical officer.

Dr Ramniwas, medical officer at the civil hospital filed a complaint with the police mentioning that on March 12 when he was on duty in the emergency ward, two injured men arrived at the hospital for treatment. One of them had an injury on the nose and he was not in a condition to speak. The second person had a head injury. He reportedly gave them first aid, bandaged the wound and gave an injection. 

The complainant found them both in an inebriated state who met with an accident, the complainant told police. 

A few minutes later, the friends of the injured men arrived who told the medical officer to give them good treatment and when reportedly informed that they were being treated well, one of them held him by his collar and started slapping and punching him for no reason. His two associates then slapped and kicked him. 

The police stated that Vineet had gone from Delhi to Faridabad with his friend Yogender to attend a wedding. Around 2 am, they had an accident and both reached the hospital for treatment. The on-duty doctor said he provided them first aid, but Vineet started arguing with the doctor claiming that his friend was not provided adequate treatment. He then called Akshay and Sachin and they assaulted the doctor before escaping. 

The police have booked the accused under sections 186, 332, 353, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
