While the Patwari accepted bribe of Rs 3,500 and Assistant Sub Inspector of Police for demanded bribe of Rs 30,000

New Delhi, November 3

Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) arrested a revenue Patwari and ASI for accepting bribery.  

While the Patwari accepted bribe of Rs 3,500 and Assistant Sub Inspector of Police for demanded bribe of Rs 30,000.

The officials identified the accused as Patwari Bhagwan Das. 

The complainant from Sangrur told police that Patwari demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 3,500 to mutation of his agricultural land.”

The investigation showed that the accused revenue official received this bribe amount. The Vigilance Bureau also found evidence of the same. 

The accused was booked under Prevention of Corruption Act at Ferozepur.
