Punjab Police invoke NSA against five aides of Amritpal Singh
NSA has been invoked against four aides of Amritpal- Daljit Singh Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala and Bhagwant Singh alias Pardhan Mantri Bajeke, who were all flown to the Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam
The Punjab Police invoked the stringent National Security Act (NSA) against five persons linked to the Amritpal Singh-led Waris Punjab De.
The NSA has been invoked against four aides of Amritpal- Daljit Singh Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala and Bhagwant Singh alias Pardhan Mantri Bajeke, who were all flown to the Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam/
The NSA has also been invoked against Harjit Singh, who surrendered on Saturday night in Jalandhar. Harjit Singh, who is the uncle of Amritpal Singh, will also be taken to Dibrugarh Central Jail, according to the police.
The police had planned to arrest Amritpal while near Jalandhar-Moga highway when he was in Mercedes with uncle, and three other aides. However, he evaded them, leaving his vehicle and mobile phone near Nakodar.
114 people have been arrested in the crackdown against elements of the pro-Khalistan outfit. The police suspect an “ISI angle” and foreign funding in the matter.
