Punjab Police gets its first reshuffle after AAP comes to power

The 1993 batch IPS officer ADGP (Administration) Gurpreet Kaur Deo has been appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Punjab Police

In the first reshuffle in Punjab Police, after the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in state fuive officers have received their new postings. 

The order was issued by DGP Punjab VK Bhawra on March 25. 

The 1993 batch IPS officer ADGP (Administration) Gurpreet Kaur Deo has been appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Punjab Police. She replaces ADGP-cum-Chief Director of Vigilance Bureau, Ishwar Singh. 

Gurpreet Deo was in charge of the Saanjh initiative of Punjab Police which got tremendous success in providing women security, uplifting women across the state in providing, self help, security. Deo has been a torchbearer of encouraging women police in Punjab to further motivate the women citizens in the states to build a closer police public relationship. 

The 1988-batch IPS officer Prabodh Kumar, who was Special DGP (Investigation, Lokpal), has been appointed as Special DGP (Intelligence) against the vacant post. Amardeep Singh, a 1994-batch IPS officer who was ADGP Intelligence, has been transferred as ADGP Traffic. 

IPS officer S S Srivastava of 1994-batch, who was ADGP Traffic, has been posted as ADGP Intelligence in place of Rai.
