Peace meeting in Gurugram led to friends stabbing another over an altercation

The accused had met the victim on the day of Holi to resolve differences but another argument cropepd up leading to the assault

New Delhi, March 22

A peace meeting to settle dispute went awry in Gurugram when three friends slit throat of their acquaintance on the day of Holi. 

The victim has been identified as Rakesh Yadav (35), a resident of Chakkarpur village. 

The accused have been identified as Naresh Kumar, one Sunny while the third accused is yet unidentified.

According to the police, the accused and victim had met to resolve their differences. Yadav had an altercation with his friend Naresh Kumar, following which enmity developed between them.

Their common friend invited both of them for the Holi party. While discussing the matter argument broke out between Naresh and Rakesh. When he walked out of the house, three persons assaulted him on the staircase and one of them stabbed him with a sharp weapon. 

However, Yadav managed to save himself and reached a friend’s office nearby seeking help. His friend rushed him to the hospital for treatment. 

The police have registered a case against the accused under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 34 (common intention).
