The victim, an 18-year-old boy worked a cleaner in the gym on the salary of Rs. 8000 which was not paid to him while he was threatened to continue working only later to be accused of stealing Rs. 50000

New Delhi, March 7

The Noida Police arrested a gym owner and his aide who allegedly threw off a cleaner from their gym from the the second floor on accusation of theft.

The accused have been identified as Neeraj Yadav and Arun Kumar.

The police stated that the incident happened around 10 pm on March 3 . Shiva was rushed to the district hospital, and then referred to Safdarjung hospital. He was declared dead early on March 6.

The victim, Shiva Sharma (18), worked as a cleaner in a gym run by Yadav. He lived with his elder brother Avaneesh Sharma and Sharma’s wife in the same building, on rent. The building housed the gym on the ground floor. 

The police registered an FIR on the complaint of Avaneesh who told police that the accused firstc called him and claimed thta his brother had committed robbery. Avaneesh who works two kilometers away from the place of incident asked them to wait and rushed to the spot. He claimed that by the time he reached, they had beaten up his brother brutally. The victim reportedly rushed to the second floor to save himself from where the accused who were following him, allegedly pushed him down. 

Avaneesh also told police that earlier too, they had made an allegation of theft of Rs 18,000 and said that until this money is recovered, he cannot stop working at the gym. On March 3, they gave their locker keys to Shiva to fetch something. When he did, they accused him of stealing Rs 50,000, he wrote in his complaint. 

The police have booked the accused section 302 (murder) among other charges under the IPC.
