There are allegations on Singh he was operating through Facetime ID ‘Balaji Kurkure’ to communicate with some of the accused in the case and had offered money to a cyber expert to prepare a fake report that threat messages on Telegram were sent from Tihar Jail

The NIA is likely to question former Mumbai Police Commissioner and now a suspended IPS officer, Param Bir Singh in the the Ambani terror scare case. 

The NIA has taken up the Antilia case for investigation and arrested Maharashtra police officials- Sachin Vaze, Daya Nayak and others. 

The NIA filed a 10,000-page chargesheet against 10 people in September. The charge sheet had mentioned some actions of the former Mumbai Police commissioner regarding which they wanted to question him again.

The accused include five dismissed or former police officers who allegedly planted a Scorpio vehicle with gelatin sticks outside the Ambani residence in February and later killed Thane businessman Mansukh Hiran, who had lent the vehicle to the accused.

Though Singh has not been chargesheeted among others however the mention of Singh was reportedly made by two persons who were questioned by NIA. 

The reports of Singh operating through Facetime ID ‘Balaji Kurkure’ had emerged which he had allegedly used to communicate with some of the accused in the case.

Another person who gave his statement to NIA during his questioning had claimed that Singh had offered him s. five lakhs to prepare a report stating that a threat received on a Telegram channel soon after the car was placed outside the Ambani residence was sent from Tihar jail. It was an attempt to show that the message was sent by terror suspects lodged in the jail. 

The NIA had issued summons to Singh and a team had also visited his residences but could not find him. However, Singh did not allegedly respond to the summons. 

The NIA had earlier recorded Singh’s statement in connection with the Ambani terror scare case since he was the Mumbai Police commissioner when the incident took place. Dismissed officer Sachin Waze, named as the main accused in the case, used to directly report to him.
