NIA files second supplementary chargesheet against three accused in Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh case

The accused were related to 10 active cadres of JMB, a proscribed terrorist organization

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed its second supplementary chargesheet before NIA Special Court in Bhopal in Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh case 

The case pertains to 10 active cadres of JMB, a proscribed terrorist organization, including six illegal immigrants of Bangladesh. 

The case was initially registered as by Bhopal STF and taken over by NIA last year. 

The NIA had earlier filed chargesheet against six accused and a supplementary chargesheet against one accused in September last year and January this year respectively. 

The NIA's investigations have established that the accused persons, namely Hamidullah and Talha Talukder Faruq are JMB cadres,  who illegally entered India with an intention to further its violent terror activities. 

They entered into a criminal conspiracy with their other associates to influence, radicalize and motivate Indian Muslims to prepare for violent jihad. They were also provoking impressionable Muslim youth to launch violent Jihad in India to establish Islamic (Sharia) Law in India, added officials. 

The accused Hamidullah,Mohd Shahdat Hussain and Talkha Talukadar have been chargesheeted under sections 120B, 465, 471 of IPC, sections 13, 18, 20, 38, 39 of UA(P) Act, section 14 A (b) of the Foreigners Act and section 3 of Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 r/w Rule 6 of Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950. 

The agency is further investigating the case.
