NIA files chargesheet against four in conspiracy of killing a Hindu priest by operatives of Khalistan Tiger Force

The conspiracy was hatched by Arshdeep Singh and Hardeep Singh Nijja, both based in Canada, to disturb peace and disrupt the communal harmony in Punjab by killing a Hindu priest : NIA

The National Investigation Agency ( NIA) filed chargesheet before NIA Special Court in Mohali against four persons in conspiracy of killing a Hindu Priest by operatives of Khalistan Tiger Force. 

The NIA Special court convicted Harshdeep Singh Nijjar, Arshdeep Singh, Kamaljeet Sharma and Ram Singh under the UAPA and various sections of IPC. 

The case pertains to attack on a priest Kamaldeep Sharma at village Bhar Singh Pura of Phillaur in Jalandhar by Kamaljeet Sharma on the directions of Canada based accused persons namely Arshdeep Singh  and Hardeep Singh Nijjar. 

The case was initially registered in January 2021 in Jalandhar Rural and re-registered by NIA in October 2021. 

The NIA investigations revealed the entire conspiracy was hatched by accused Arshdeep Singh and Hardeep Singh Nijja , both based in Canada, to disturb peace and disrupt the communal harmony in Punjab by killing a Hindu priest. 

The arrested accused Kamaljeet Sharma and Ram Singh alias Sona had shot at the victim Kamaldeep Sharma, on the directions of Canada based Arshdeep Singh. 


The NIA is further investigating the case.
