NIA carries out searches at 14 locations in J&K in connection with arrest of militant Hidayatullah Malik

Malik had allegedly filmed important places in Delhi including the office of NSA Ajit Doval to carry out major terror attacks

New Delhi, July 31

The NIA (National Investigation Agency) carried out search at 14 places in Jammu and Kashmir in connect with the arrest of Lashkar-e-Mustafa Chief Hidayatullah Malik and recovery of IED in Jammu.

The NIA teams searched at Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag and Banihal in the two terror cases.

The NIA officials said that the first case is related to recovery of seven kilograms of IED in Jammu in February this year and the second case is related to the arrest of Hidayatullah Malik. The had taken over investigations in this case in March. 

Malik was arrested from Kunjwani by Anantnag police in February this year. 

The sources said Malik in his interrogation gave sensational information of filming important places in New Delhi including the office of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. 

He was also planning to set up base in Kashmir to carry out major terror attacks in the country.
