The deceased Manoj was on a two wheeler with his mother and son when a speeding car hit them; the toddler survived

New Delhi, May 24

A senior citizen woman and her son were killed after their two-wheeler was hit by a car in Burari of Delhi. 

The victim was identified as Shashi (60) and her son Manoj (24), residents of Ghaziabad. Shashi’s 8-year-old grandson, who was sitting between her and Manoj on the bike, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital, police informed. 

The police received a PCR call on at around 11.30 am that three persons on a motorcycle were mowed down by a Tata Bolero when they were coming from the Burari roundabout flyover.

The driver of the car absconded from the spot. The police have collected CCTV footage and scanning the same to identify the accused. 

The police have registered a case for causing death by negligence, causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
