The girl and the boy were in a relationship and had a fight following which Sahil caught hold of the girl and stabbed her multiple times

A horrific murder was reportedly rom Shahbad dairy area of Deli where a minor girl was brutally stabbed over 20 times and then her face disfigured by her boyfriend. 

The incident took place in Delhi’s JJ Colony in Shahbad area. According to Delhi Police, the accused has been identified as Sahil Safaraz (20). 

The Delhi Police arrested Sahil from Bulandshahr in UP. He is an AC mechanic living in JJ Colony area of Shahdbad dairy in Delhi. 

The incident was captured in a CCTV camera in the area where the accused was seen stabbing the minor multiple times. the accused cornering the victim against a wall and then continue to stab her multiple times. As the girl fell, he lifted a boulder lying nearby and thrash her with it several times before fleeing the scene.

As the video footage of the incident went viral, the Delhi Police issued a statement and claimed that the Sahil, the accused, and the deceased victim were in a relationship. The duo had a quarrel, following which Sahil allegedly carried out the crime.

The Delhi Police said, "A 16-year-old girl stabbed to death by her boyfriend, identified as 20-year-old Sahil in Shahbad Dairy PS limits of Delhi. Sahil and the deceased were in a relationship but yesterday they had a quarrel. The deceased was planning to attend her friend’s son’s birthday when the accused intercepted her, stabbed her multiple times & hit her with a stone. Accused is absconding and search for him is underway. FIR registered u/s 302 IPC at PS Shahbad Dairy,” the police statement read. 

Delhi Police PRO, Suman Nalwa stated that the accused has been traced and arrested. The police are investigating further on the case. 

Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal said, "The incident is a shocker and I have never come across such a horrific incident in my life. The minor girl who was hardly 16-year-ols has been brutally killed in front of people while people watched. Delhi has become extremely unsafe for women and girls. I appeal to the central govt to call a high-level meeting with Union HM, Delhi LG, DCW chief and Delhi CM". 

The police have registered a case of murder and begun furher investigation.
