Minor Domestic Help Abuse Care Jharkhand Police to rescue the girl, Gurugram Police arrests the couple

17-year-old was allegedly taken to Gurugram from Jharkhand in the pretext of work by her uncle and later she was severely tortured for five months

Following an intervention from Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in the alleges torturing of Jharkhand girl in Gurugram, a team of Jharkhand Police has geared up to rescue the girl.

As per the case details, a 17-year-old was allegedly taken to Gurugram from Jharkhand in the pretext of work by her uncle and later she was severely tortured for five months. The girl was admitted to the hospital in Gurugram.

The incident came to light after Gurgaon police arrested Manish Khattar and Kamaljeet Kaur. The police said that the girl was assaulted using a blade, iron rods and sticks and was given only one small meal a day.

The girl was severely tortured by the couple while her elder sister is missing.

The office the Jharkhand CM had tweeted saying, “CM Hemant Soren is deeply anguished at this inhuman act of child torture that’s come to light. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Haryana Chief Minister’s Office are kindly requested to take due note of this grave matter with utmost importance and provide necessary support to rehabilitate the girl back to her family.”

The Jharkhand Police have been inateucted tk register an FIR while Shakti Vahini, an NGO for women and child rights have requested rhe police to book the accused for human trafficking, provision of SC/ST Act and Bonded Labour Act.
