Man dies as his car falls off under construction flyover in East Delhi

The deceased was returning home from work and took Barapullah-Noida Link road area near Mayur Vihar Phase 1 metro station

A 42-year-old man died after his car allegedly fell 30 feet to the ground from an under-construction flyover in East Delhi’s Barapullah-Noida Link road area.

The deceased was identified as Jagandeep Singh (42), a resident of Krishna Nagar in East Delhi. Singh worked at a private firm in Sector 16 of Noida. 

The police stated that Singh was driving home from his office when the incident took place around 9pm. the police received information from locals that an unknown man fell from the partly-constructed flyover near Noida Link Road and Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Metro station. His car was lying towards the Yamuna Khadar side. 

A WagonR car was found in an accident and the deceased was in the driving seat. He was pulled out of the car and taken to LBS Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, police added. 

While locals alleged that he saw the barricades attached on the start of the under construction flyover yet he drove towards it however police suspect that he got confused and took the wrong flyover (which is under construction). 

The police have collected few items from his car while his body was sent for a post mortem. The police have begun an investigation into the case.
