Man beaten to death in a case of road rage in Delhi

New Delhi, April 24

A man was beaten to death allegedly by two men in Central Delhi’s Rajender Nagar in a case of road rage.

The deceased was identified as Pankaj Thakur who worked at a shop as a helper and was also a part-time delivery agent for grocery stores. 

The accused identified as Manish (19) and Lalchand (20) were arrested.

The police stated that both the sides got into a fight over the victim's bike parked on one ide while the accused who were in a cab wanted to halt on the same side. The petty fight got into a serious altercation between them and the accused took a stone and hit the victim, 

Thakur was standing outside a shop when the accused, who were in a cab, shouted at him to move his bike which was parked on the same street, added police. 

Thakur was found lying on the road by passers by who made a PCR call. The police rushed him to the hospital where he died.

The police scanned CCTV footage and found the incident recorded in one camera. Based on the same and local intelligence, they identified and traced the accused who were subsequently arrested.
