Maharashtra police constable does a "Singham" act on video, suspended

The constable shot of video of him as "Singham" to warn criminals to stay off Amravati district

New Delhi, August 5

A police constable from Amravati district in Maharashtra did a "Singham" inviting his suspension from seniors.

The constable Mahesh Kale, attached to Chandur Bazar police station in Amravati district, made a video of himself with a message that “goons must keep off Amravati district, else they had it”.

In the video, constable Mahesh says, "Jo kaydyat rahil to faydyat rahil (one who will follow law, will benefit)". He warns the goons to keep off Amravati district. 

Constable Mahesh dressed in his uniform I acted the character of Singham played by actor Ajay Devgan. 

After the video went viral, Amravati (rural) superintendent of police Hari Balaji issued Kale’s suspension order. 

The SP stated that the act has brought saying the act has brought disrepute to the police force and violated service rules.

The constable has been in service for about four to five years with Maharashtra Police.
