Karnataka Police held a Bajrang Dal member for murder of a Dalit man

Bajrang Dal worker was identified as Krishna who got into a duel with the Dalit man and assaulted him severely

New Delhi, February 28

The Karnataka Police held a Bajarang Dal worker for allegedly assaulting a Dalit man Dharmasthala town who died due to assault. 

The accused was identified as Krishna alias Kitta. The victim was identified as Dinesh, both residents of Dharmasthala. The police said the incident took place on February 23. 

According to the police, Krishna, who runs a shop near Ram Mandi,got angry when Dinesh told other people that he helped Krishna get the land for the shop. Krishna dragged Dinesh around on the road in braod daylight and punched him on his stomach.

Dinesh went back home and told his mother and wife that he had severe stomach ache. He was taken to Government Wenlock District Hospital in Mangaluru. He died during the treatment. 

The police have booked the accused for murder, assault under several sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the IPC.
