On the occasion of 76th Police Raising Day of Delhi Police, Union HM Amit shah inaugurates rhe Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) stall.
Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Home Secretary Govt. of India, Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi and Ritu Arora, President, Police Families Welfare Society and other dignitaries were also present during the occasion.
Shah visited the PFWS stall, which showcased the skillful work done and products made by Police families.
Ritu Arora, President PFWS, in her interaction with the Chief Guest briefed him regarding the initiative of “Safe Driving Program” introduced by PFWS for the police families in association with Honda Motors & Scooters India Ltd.
She also briefed about the other initiatives taken up PFWS for the welfare of the police families, which include introduction of basic and advance computer courses in association with NGO-Sahyog Care, facility of ‘Lavanya” Salon at 3 welfare centres namely NPL, Shalimar Bagh and Narela and regular Yoga sessions conducted at every welfare centre.
She also briefed about the initiative, ‘Mission Olympics’ which aims at providing platform to the wards of police families to achieve milestones in the field of sports.
