The Gurugram Cyber Police along with Lions Public School and CSO team held a cycle rally in the city to raise awareness on cybercrimes.
The police team from ACP Cyber Crime, west cyber police station along with CSO team and around 300 school students participated in the rally.
The officials stated that the aim of this cycle rally was to spread Cyber Security Awareness and promote cyber safe culture amongst students, their parents and faculty members of the school.
The cycle rally, covering 3km, started from Lions Public School and covered Sector 10A and nearby areas.
The rally was followed by awareness session on cyber safety with students and ACP Cyber Crime along with CSO team further gave various tips on cyber safety and explained the modus operandi of various cyber crimes on Email & internet, cyberbullying, identity fraud, online liquor sale, Selling illegal items online, Sextortion, Ransomware attacks and illegal gambling.
The police added that cybersecurity is one of the most important challenges being faced by everyone and the underlying theme of the rally was to raise awareness on cybercrimes and make general public aware of increasing cybercrimes. The rally received an overwhelming response from citizens and students of the school.
Team also highlighted that if someone have been a victim of a cybercrime, they should immediately #Dial1930 and register their complaint at www.cybercrime.gov.in
A session on cybercrime was also conducted in Sushant University to raise awareness on cybercrimes., officials added.
