Girl dies by suicide at her apartment in in Gurugram, left suicide note of harassment from live-in partner

The police said the accused who used to allegedly torture her physically and mentally is absconding after the incident

The Gurugram police has booked a man for allegedly abetting the suicide of his live-in partner in Gurugram. The victim died by suicide by hanging herself to a fan. 

The victim (35) had been working as a legal professional and company secretary in a private firm. She was living with the accused as a live-in partner at a residential society in Sector 108 of Gurugram. 

The police have recovered a suicide note from the spot. 

According to the police, the girl has mentioned that she was facing mental harassment and regular flights from her live-in partner. 

According to the police, the girl’s family also verifies to police that the girl was being reportedly tortured by him. The family told police that in one of her visits at home, she was found with bruises and assault marks on her. The family has also cried foul and stated that he could have murdered her. 

The police had sent her body for post mortem before handing it over to her family for the last rites. 

The police said the accused is absconding and the police have mounted technical surveillance on him. 

The police have registered an FIR under IPC Section 306 for abetment of suicide.
