Gangster Tillu Tajpuriya Killing Fallout QRT's deployed at high risk prison in Tihar

After the brutal murder of gangster Tillu Tajpuriya in high risk prison of Tihar Jail, the prisons administration has deployed quick response teams (QRTs) in its high-risk prison to tackle emergency or riot-like situations. 

A QRT comprises of prison staff, personnel of CRPF and ITBP will be deployed at jail number 8, a high-risk prison.  The teams will assist in emergency situations when fights break out between inmates and other emergencies. 

The QRTs have been deployed after it came to the fore during an internal inquiry that jail officials and TSP (Tamil Nadu Special Police) officers who were deployed near the high risk prisons. The policemen allegedly watched the murder and failed to seperate the gangsters fighting that led to Tajpuriya getting brutally killed. 

The eight Tamil Nadu Special Police personnel have been also repatriated to their state after an video emerged that showed the personnel watching the entire incident and didn't even try to either stop the incident or the assailants. The assailants first attacked Tajpuriya in the cell and then dragged him out in the open lobby stabbing him with over 90 wounds where the policemen watched.

The DG Prisons had also suspended eight jail staffers after the incident and an inquiry report was submitted to Delhi L-G VK Saxena.
