Designer who tried to extort money from deputy CM's wife Amruta Fadnavis, arrested
The designer identified as Aniksha is daughter of a wanted bookie Anil Jaisinghani who is on the run since eight years and faces 17 various criminal cases
The Mumbai Police arrested daughter of a known bookie for allegedly threatening, conspiring and trying to bribe Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis with Rs one crore,
The accused has been identified as Aniksha, daughter of a known bookie Anil Jaisinghani. Anil Jaisinghani is wanted in over seven cases registered in five states. He has 17 cases registered against him and Goa Police had opened a Look Out Circular on May 11, 2019 to locate him.
Aniksha is pursuing law from a South Mumbai college and has completed MA in English Literature.
According to the police, she was posing to be a designer and is part of a larger conspiracy that she hatched along with her father against Amruta Fadnavis. As per the complaint, Aniksha had allegedly sent designed clothes and jewellery to Amruta Fadnavis and requested her to wear them in public events.
