New Delhi, March 15

The Delhi Police imposed Section 144 of the CrPc at Vijay Chowk in Delhi after opposition began their march to the Enforcement Directorate office.

After the imposition of Section 144 of the CrPc, no groups can lead a protest. The Opposition leaders called for the protest march to hand over a complaint to the probe agency on the Adani issue.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear a plea filed by BRS MLC Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, challenging the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summon to her in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The apex court, however, refused to grant her interim relief in the matter. The court is set to hear her plea on March 24.

Days after they were questioned by the CBI in connection with the land-for-jobs case, former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and her husband and former Railways Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav were granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi. Their daughter, RJD MP Misa Bharti, also appeared before the court.

The ED had carried out raids at the New Delhi residences of multiple members of the Yadav family, including their son, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
