Delhi Police arrests a youth for cow slaughter in north district

The residents of the area of the area alerted police when they found animal remains from the spot

New Delhi, February 20

The Delhi Police arrested a young man 22-year-old for alleged cow slaughter in North Delhi.

The police identified he accused as Ahmad who is involved in two criminal cases and has been booked for robbery, snatching and Arms Act in the past.

The police stated that they were informed by the residents that animal remains from a vacant plot. The samples were sent to a government veterinary hospital.

The police have seized CCTV footage from the area in which a Honda City car was seen, whi used in the offence. The accused and his four associates allegedly caught a cow and took it to the spot,

The accused has been booked under the Delhi Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
