The CA planned the murder with his friend who roped in an aide to get rid of the woman who got married to him six months ago

New Delhi, May 18

The Delhi Police arrested a 71-year-old retired bank manager and Chartered Accountant from Rajouri Garden for allegedly getting his 35-year-old wife killed by contract killers after she demanded Rs 1 crore from him.

The accused was identified as SK Gupta, and two alleged contract killers- Vipin Sethi and Himanshu and ### who were arrested alongwith the CA's son who is suffering from cerebral palsy. 

As per the case details, the domestic worker spotted the woman lying inside the house with 8-10 stab injuries on her body. Her mobile phone was missing. The help immediately informed the family and called the security guard who then informed the police. The accused had tried to portray the case as a case robbery and had ransacked the house. 

The police found the killers in the CCTV cameras in the area and traced them. The duo confessed to the crime and stated they were hired to kill. 

The police investigation shows that SK Gupta married the deceased with the intention that she would take care of his son but his plans failed as the woman started seeking a divorce and demanded Rs 1 crore. He then contacted a family friend, Vipin, who would often help in taking his son to the hospital. Vipin agreed to kill the woman for Rs 10 lakh, said officials. 

DCP (West) Ghanshyam Bansal stated that the the accused paid Rs 2.4 lakh after finalising the deal. The accused entered the house from the open door. They stabbed the woman and to make it seem like a robbery bid, they ransacked the house and also took away mobile phones of the deceased as well as as that of Gupta’s son. 

The door of the house would usually be kept open to allow Gupta’s son to freely walk around the house and come back. 

The murder was pre planned to get rid of the woman, police added.
