The Delhi police arrested two men who allegedly cheated ‘high-profile’ people by issuing them fake appointment letters from central ministries and other government bodies.

The accused were identified as Khatri Iqbal Ahamad, 50, a resident of Gujarat, and Himanshu Pandey, 35, of Uttar Pradesh who were running a fake government job racket along with other associates.

According to the police, The duo duped people on the pretext of appointing them as board members of the National Medical Commission. The forged government order mentioned that the tenure of National Medical Commission chairman Suresh Chandra Sharma has ended in January and Dr Suresh K Patel, a member of Gujarat Medical Council, has been appointed as the new chairman and he can take charge on any date between April 3 and April 10.
