Delhi Police 'Tejaswinis' spread cyber awareness and sensitised women on cybercrimes in North West district
The cyber teams visited schools and sensitised girls on cyber crime prevention and also visited senior citizens to adhere to their needs and suggestions
The cyber awareness and women sensitisation programmes were organised during celebrations of ‘Tejaswini Week’in North-West District of Delhi Police.
The cyber team and Parivartan team visited Prudence School Ashok Vihar, St. Columbus Public School Subhash Place, Laxmi bai College Bharat Nagar, Rukmani Devi Public School Pitampura, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidhyalaya A-Block Jahangir Puri, DAV Public School Model Town etc and sensitised young girls & students about safety and security measures while accessing social media platforms and using e-payment wallets.
Various Self-Defense techniques were also shown to more than 600 young girls and students. They were also motivated to focus on their overall development.
40 students of GD Goenka Public School, Model Town visited cyber police station, North-West and cyber awareness tips were given to students, showcasing them cyber tools, role of cyber police, types of cyber crime like internet fraud, cyber bullying & other cyber related crimes.
The students of Maharaja Agarsen School Ashok Vihar visited PS Bharat Nagar and Students of St. Rossier School visited PS Shalimar Bagh where they were explained about working of police stations.
Nukkad Nataks were also organised in Ambedkar Park, Subhash Place and Jhuggi N86 Camp, Keshav Puram where children were sensitized about good touch & bad touch under Naazuk Scheme of Delhi Police and Women were explained about various crimes were encouraged to report crime/ incidents like domestic violence, molestation, assault etc.
The police also visited senior citizens in the areas of Keshav Puram, Subhash Place, Shalimar Bagh & Maurya Enclave and they were explained about security measures to be taken up for their safety and motivated to use senior citizen app of Delhi Police.
