The trio were wanted in two criminal cases ie. a case of shootout at the house of a jail official in Delhi and another case of robbing of bike at gunpoint in Haryana

The Delhi Police Special Cell held three wanted criminals including two juveniles in an encounter near Holambi Khurd in Delhi.

The main accused was identified as Shubham Baliyan (20) of Muzaffarnagar in UP who had roped in two juvenile associates.

The Special Cell said that the accused had shot at the house of an Assistant Superintendent of Jail who is presently posted in Mandoli jail.

The accused persons had fired at his house in order to intimidate him as he had allegedly rebuked Yudhvir alias Kala Pandit, brother of one of the juveniles who is lodged in Mandoli jail under said Jail Superintendent. Juvenile wanted to teach jail official a lesson for alleged humiliation of his brother by him in jail.

The Special Cell had received information that Subham and his juvenile associate would come on a robbed bike from  Holambi Khurd side to meet their another juvenile associate near Pulia on main road near village. A trap was laid by the team of Special Cell officials.

The accused was found standing near Pulia at main road Holambi Khurd and waiting for someone. Shubham with his juvenile associate riding the bike came to meet the juvenile. 

The officials said that trio were surrounded by the members of the team and they  asked the trio to surrender but Shubham and one of the juveniles  started firing towards the members of the police team. The police  team also fired in self defence in order to overpower them. Finally all three were surrounded, nabbed and disarmed by the police.

The accused fired three rounds at police including one round of the juvenile who also fired at the police. The police team fired back in retaliation . The police recovered a single shot pistol of .315 with one live cartridge was recovered from one of the juveniles. Another single shot pistol of .315 with one live cartridge from Shubham and 6 live cartridges of .315 from second juvenile were recovered including three empties.  

The bike used by the accused was found robbed from the area of Kundli of Sonipat, Haryana. The same bike was used by the trio in firing at the house of Assistant Jail Superintendent.

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
