The accused absconding since last 10 years and was carrying a cash reward on his name

The Delhi Crime Branch arrested one wanted rewarded criminal who was absconding since last 10 years and was carrying a cash reward on his name. 

The accused was identified as Mohit alias Titu (30) from Auraiya in UP.

The crime branch stated that an incident of kidnapping of a minor girl was reported in Kotla Mubarakpur. In this incident, accused took the kidnapped girl in his native village, where when the girl insisted for marriage, the accused along with his associates killed the girl and buried her body in his house at village Bhadora in Auraya, UP. Later, a neighbour lady found the finger of girl protruding out from the ground where she was buried and she raised an alarm on which the local police of concerned police station in Uttar Pradesh reached the spot. After digging the place, the dead body of the minor girl found. 

The crime branch officials said that on interrogation, the accused persons disclosed about the incident. The information was shared to Kotla Mubarakpur police station Delhi by Uttar Pradesh police and Section 302, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code was appended in the case. During investigation of the case, three accused persons were arrested. 

The crime branch received specific input about the accused's presence in Auraiya following which he was arrested. The crime branch laid a trap at the village where officers remained stationed for considerable period and on the basis of secret inputs, apprehended Mohit who initially tried to mislead, but thereafter, he disclosed regarding his role in the murder..

The officials added that during the course of interrogation, accused disclosed that he is  wanted in a kidnapping and murder case of a minor girl registered at otla Mubarakpur, since 2011 in which he took away a minor girl from Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi. The girl insisted for marrying her, then he along with his father and two uncles has killed and buried the body of deceased minor girl in his house at the vllage Bhadora. Thereafter, he fled from the spot and kept hiding himself in the different area of UP and started working as servant in various place of UP and used it to keep a low profile and to evade his arrest.
