Couple killed a in a gruesome murder at Meerut, while their parents found unconscious in the house

The motive behind killing the couple and attacking the elderly couple is still under investigation

In a double murder at Meerut, a couple was found with their throats slit, inside their house while the man's parents were found unconscious on the ground floor. 

The deceased have been identified as Pramod Karanwal (50), who works in an iron factory at Ghaziabad, and his wife Mamta (45), a teacher at a private convent school in Meerut. Pramod’s parents Narendra Pratap (76) and Vinod Bala (68) lying unconscious on the ground floor. 

The police stated that the couple lived on the first floor of their house in Sector 6 in Shastri Colony while the man's parents live in the ground floor. 

The police said that the incident came to light when their son Aryan (24) called his parents and grandparents at around 8 am Tuesday and failed to get a response. He then contacted a neighbour, Shivam and asked him to check the house.

When Shivam reached the house, he found the main gate open and saw  grandparents unconscious while the couple’s bodies lying on the bed. Shivam raised an alarm and informed Aryan and his sister, who work in Gurgaon. 

The police have collected CCTV footage from the area and also forensic teams collected evidences from the spot for analyses.
