The 22-tear-old girl was a native of Hardoi district and staying at a private hostel in Lucknow

A female college student was shot dead by her instagram 'freind' in Lucknow of UP. 

The victim was 22-year-old and was a third-year student of a private university. The accused was identified as Aditya Pathak, a small-time contractor from Ballia district. 

The police stated that she gone to her friend’s house, where she was allegedly shot dead. She had received a bullet injury in her chest and was admitted to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during the treatment.

The police added that she was  native of Hardoi district, the woman was staying at a private hostel in Lucknow.

The police later traced and arrested Aditya Pathak and recovered a country-made pistol from the crime scene.

According to the police, the accused had a heated argument with her and he took out a pistol and shot at her chest. 

The police stated that Aditya has several criminal cases registered against him. The accused has been booked for murder among other charges under the IPC.
