Chennai Police arrests a man from Bihar who sold "Ganja Chocolates"

The accused claimed to have brought Ganja Chocolates from Bihar and sold it on how two wheeler across the city

New Delhi, January 25

The Chennai Police have arrested one for allegedly selling “ganja chocolates” outside a school in the city.

The police identified him as Surendhiran Yadav (43), a native of Bihar.

He was arrested near a school in Mambalam and police found around 8 kg “ganja chocolates” in his possession.

According to the police,  Surendhiran had been working at a paan shop run by his uncle Amul Kumar Yadav near Royapettah. He got the “ganja chocolates” from Bihar.

It is pertinent to note that Tamil Nadu DGP, C Sylendra Babu launched ‘Ganja Vettai’ (Ganja Hunt) to crack down on sale of marijuana.

The Tamil Nadu Police have so far arrested 17,000 ganja peddlers and had their bank accounts frozen
