Hours after gangster Tillu Tajpuriya was killed by four men in Tihar Jail, Canada based gangster Goldy Brar sent out a social media post saying that his "brothers" members of deceased gangster Jitendra Gogi gang have avenged the killing of Gogi. 

Goldy Brar, who is hiding in Canada has also taken responsibility. In a purported social media post, Brar said, “Today, my friends Deepak Titar and Yogesh Tonda killed Tillu. He had killed my brother Gogi and we took revenge…”

The four men were identified as Yogesh Tonda, Deepak Titar, Rajesh Singh, and Riyaz Khan all aides of slain gangster Jitendra Gogi. 

In December 2021, two men entered Rohini court and fired at Jitendra Mann alias Gogi, killing him on spot. The police investigation showed that Gogi was killed in a planned attack by rival gangster Tajpuriya. 

Tajpuriya was lodged in high security jail since 2016 at Mandoli. On April 22, he was shifted from Mandoli to Tihar Jail.  

Jitendra Gogi was also a close aide of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently in custody of Gujarat ATS and the 

The primary investigation in Tajpuriya's killing showed that Gogi gang had been planning to eliminate Tapuriya since the shootout at Rohini court but Tajpurya was lodged in Mandoli. As soon as he was sifted to Tihar Jail, the gang behind plotting his murder. The four men of Gogi who were lodged in Tihar Jail took an opportunity and executed the murder within days of the arrival of Tajpuriya. 

As per the details that have surfaced, the four assailants were lodged on the first floor of the Jail no 9 who took the opportunity in wee hours of May 2 to kill Tajpuriya. Tajpurya was lodged in the cell close to the assailants. The assailants sneaked in a sua (iron rod like material used to break ice), bedsheet to use like a rope and stabbed Tajpuriya multiple times till he was killed. 

The assailants are also historysheeters with cases of murder, arms and more registered against them. Yogesh Tonda, is a history-sheeter, who is involved in over 14 cases and was arrested in 2019. Tonda’s accomplice, Deepak Titar, is also a known gangster involved in over 24 cases.

Rajesh initially worked as a bus conductor, when he was involved in two criminal cases. With 46 criminal cases lodged against him, he has been convicted in five.

Riyaz Khan has two cases against him, including that of murder and attempted murder, and has been convicted in a case. 

The killing of Tajpuriya has raised serious security concerns in Tihar Jail which is touted to have over 900 CCTV cameras. The prisons administration that denied to speak about the incident has come under the radar after the murder of this high profile gangster. The police are probing the details on how the assailants procured the iron rod and more to kill Tajpurya while the prisons department maintained that the guards were deployed near his cell and rushe to the spot within minutes of seeing Tajpuriya attacked. 

The DG Prisons office released a statement saying “At around 6.10 am, Tillu who was lodged on the ground floor of High Security Ward was attacked by four inmates affiliated to rival Gogi gang who were lodged on the first floor of the same ward. They had cut open the iron grill using improvised ‘sua’ (blade). They jumped on the ground floor using bedsheets. The injured inmate was immediately rushed to DDU Hospital after giving the required medical attention at the Central Jail OPD at around 6.45 am. The injured inmate expired during the course of the treatment at DDU hospital.”
