The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the Delhi liquor policy case will record the statement of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter and Member of Legislative Council K Kavitha.
The CBI sent summons to Kavitha that on December 11 the CBI will visit her at her residence at Banjara Hills in connection with its probe.
The CBI had issued a notice under CrPC Section 160 to the MLC asking her to join the probe on December 6. Kavitha has however written back to CBI that she won’t be able to record her statements on the given date.
The officials said that she has sought copies of the complaint in the case after which the date of the meeting should be fixed. The CBI has also sent her an email saying a copy of the FIR as well as that of the complaint are available on the website.
The CBI later wrote back to her saying that a CBI team will visit on December 11 at 11 am to record her statement in connection with the case.
