Businessman killed, two injured as group of men attacked them for intervening in street fight at Outer Delhi

The shop owners- Keshav and Amit, rushed and tried to intervene in a street fight, which stopped initially however the accused came back after half an hour with eight to nine men armed with knives and bricks

A businessman was killed in an audacious attack at his shop by a group of men who attacked him with bricks and knives only over an issue of objecting to a street fight. The Delhi Police arrested six including three juveniles while others are at large. 

The police stated that the incident took place in Outer Delhi on April 13. The police were alerted by locals informing that there was an incident of stabbing their area. 

The police after reaching the spot found three persons injured. They were shifted to BSA Hospital for treatment. The victims were identified as Amit (21) and Arvind (35) had injuries on their limbs, chest and other parts. The third victim, Keshav, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

The police found the CCTV footage of the incident and identified all accused and immediately arrested them. The police also seized weapons from their possession. 

During the investigation, it was found that around 7.30 pm, a fight allegedly broke out between a man and 3-4 others near the shop. The owners, Keshav and Amit, rushed and tried to intervene. The fight stopped initially however the accused came back after half an hour with eight to nine men armed with knives and bricks. They attacked their target and also the shop keepers who tried to stop the fight.

The accused have been booked for rioting, murder and attempted murder under various sections of the IPC.
