Bomb threat at DPS Mathura Road, no bomb or threatening material found in the campus

The school had received an email on the school’s official mail ID that a bomb has been planted on the school campus and that it will be activated at 9 am

The Delhi Police teams that carried out an extensive search after a bomb threat was received at the Delhi Public School at Mathura Road, found no bomb or threatening material. 

The police received information around 7.50 am from the principal of the Delhi Public School, Mathura Road stating that they received an email on the school’s official mail ID that a bomb has been planted on the school campus and that it will be activated at 9 am. .

The police teams with the Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad and Special Cell officials rushed to the spot. The area was cordoned off a long search operation was carried out. 

The school buildings were evacuated and told to assemble in an open ground on the school premises and later they were sent home after calling their parents. 

The search teams found nothing at the spot after the search. 

The primary probe shows that the sender of the email was from Russia indicating that the sender used a network from Russia or the email was indeed sent from Russia. The cybercrime cell has been asked to take over the investigation and get more details.
