BSF intercepts drone, seizes narcotics in Amritsar

New Delhi, November 29

The Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a suspected drone near Amritsar district in Punjab. 

The troops intercepted a drone and recovered one big packet (wrapped with yellow adhesive tape) containing five small packets of contraband item suspected to be Heroin. 

The contraband weighed 5.240 kg along with one pistol (Italy made), two magzines and 20 rounds, wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, a metallic ring attached with the consignment from the farming field near Chak Allah Baksh village. 

The officials added that yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics through drone was foiled by alert and vigilant BSF troops.
