Top brass of Maharashtra police gets transferred to bigger roles after a gap of two years, new CPs in Pune, Navi Mumbai, MBVV

The top brass of Maharashtra Police that were waiting for their promotions and transfers since a gap of two years received their new postings in the order issued by the Maharashtra Government. 

As per the order issued by the Maharashtra Home Department, senior IPS officer Milind Bharambe has been appointed as the new CP of Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner. IPS Madhukar Pandey has been appointed the Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar (MBVV) Commissione while Ritesh Kumar is the new Pune Police Commissioner.

Former Pune commissioner Amitabh Gupta was named as Additional Director General (Law & Order).

Sadanand Date, the former MBVV commissioner has been made as the new Chief of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

The transfers have brought in new Joint Commisisoners of Police in Mumbai Police

Lakhmi Gautam was named Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Satyanarayan Chaudhary as Joint Commissioner (Law & order), Nishith Mishra as Joint Commissioner (Economic Offences Wing), Pravin Padwal as Joint Commissioner (Traffic) and S Jaykumar as Joint Commissioner (Administration) in Mumbai.

Vishwas Nangre Patil, former JCP (Law & order) was transferred to the Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The city also saw new additional commissioners posted in various regions. P S Dahiya was posted as Additional Commissioner (West Region).
