NIA arrests another two terror operatives in connection with Shivamogga ISIS conspiracy case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two ISIS operatives in case related to a conspiracy hatched by accused persons to further the terror activities of Islamic State (IS) in India. 

The NIA arrested Mazin Abdul Rahman of Permannur, Mangaluru in Dakshina Kannada District of Karnatakaand Nadeem Ahmed K A of Devenayakanahalli, Honnaliin Davanagere, Karnataka.

The NIA investigations revealed that accused Maaz Muneer had radicalised and recruited Mazin Abdul Rahman while accused Syed Yasin radicalized and recruited Nadeem K A for furthering the terror activities of Islamic State in India. 

The accused persons recced and attempted/committed acts of sabotage/arson, as part of the larger conspiracy, to further the activities of Islamic State. Four other accused persons have been arrested in the case earlier. 

The case was initially registered at Shivamogga Rural Police Station in June and e-registered by NIA in November.

The agency is further probing the case.
