A gymnasium has been inaugurated at the IGI police station yesterday. This is the first gym in any police station of Delhi

Deteriorating health problems of policemen is a major concern in the police department. Long hours of duty, increasing pollution on roads, unpredictable call of duty, work pressure and many other demanding factors are taking their toll on Police officers. Realizing the hazardous situation, the top brass of the Delhi Police are now exploring the various ideas to constrict the damage.

The inception of the gymnasium at police stations is one of such ideas. Recently, a new building of the DCP Airport and police station IGI Airport has been inaugurated. One of the salient features is the gymnasium at the building."It was being felt that health of the police personnel was suffering on account of nature of police duty; so, it was decided to provide them gym facility at the police station," said DCP Airport, Sanjay Bhatia. This is the first gym in any police station of Delhi. And, a positive Step to inculcate police officers with a healthy lifestyle. We hope other police stations would also get such facility.
