To enhance awareness with an aim to prevent cyber crime, Gurugram Police is launching its new exclusive social media handles (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube) for Cyber Crime Team

The Gurugram Police launched Cyber Crime Awareness Campaign with Haryanavi Singer "MD Desi Rockstar" and introduced new exclusive social media handles for Gurugram Police Cyber Crime Team. 

The campaign will be kicked off by  Priyanshu Dewan, ACP Cyber Crime, Gurugram Police along with famous Haryanavi Singer MD and Cyber Security Officers from Ambience Mall. 

The cybercrime and privacy breach in India has been growing exponentially. In such scenario, it becomes important for every citizen to understand the risks associated with cyber space, implications of data leaks and privacy breaches through social media or emails.

The officials said that to enhance awareness with an aim to prevent cyber crime, Gurugram Police is launching its new exclusive social media handles (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube) for Cyber Crime Team as well.

These handles are aimed at enhancing people’s basic knowledge about cybercrimes and precautions to be taken for prevention of cyber frauds. Through these platforms, Gurugram Cyber Crime Police shall share cyber safety tips, short awareness videos, images and creatives, added officials.

Gurugram Police had already established the Cyber Crime Police Stations to combat the threat of Cyber Crime to the Citizens of the city. From its inception several initiatives have been taken to spread awareness among the citizens on the prevention of cyber crime. 

In the series of ongoing initiatives, to raise awareness on prevention of cyber crime and share cyber safety tips famous Haryanavi Singer "MD Desi Rockstar" is also joining us on Saturday, 18th March at 5pm, Ambience Mall.

As a part of the campaign, citizens will be made aware of cyber safety tips and MD Desi Rockstar alongwith police team and CSOs (Cyber Security Officers) will be asking participants to take the pledge.
