The locals in the area noticed a suspect based on which the police have prepared sketch and six teams have been formed to trace the accused

The Ghaziabad police probing the murder of a five-year-old girl child of Sahibabad have released a sketch of the suspect.

The police said the deceased child’s body was found in the jungle about 30 metres from her house after she had been reported missing to the police the previous day after going out to play.

The police inquired with the local residents who expressed that a suspicious individual was seen in the area.

The post-mortem has confirmed that the child was sexually assaulted before being murdered via strangulation. 

The police have hence registered an FIR  for murder, the disappearance of evidence and charges under the IPC and also booked the accused under the POCSO Act. 

The Ghaziabad police have formed six teams to trace the accused. The CCTV footage is being examined for suspicious individuals. 

The police are running through the mobile numbers of the suspects in the area while mounting surveillance in and around Ghaziabad.
